I went down that path when i was trying to de bug the mobile view layout. Because it makes sense right!? and two days later tring to find that mystery column it turned out the header.asp was the problem and had nothing to do with the tables. I shrunk the quick reply down and tested it on the loacl server. yes it fixed the layout of the page. it loaded the video and everything like it should but the quick reply box no longer works and is all messed up on the normal desktop computer. So thats where i am at now.

Yeah i noticed that. If you want to send me a view source or other places you have issues ill feed it into gpt. It can sujest not alter places in the code to look that may be an issue. You can decide.
Ive spent a year plus building a framework it works under within the instance and it doesn't do the usual im right or this is the correct answer type attitude . If it can't figure it out it doesn't need to say it can. |

Ive been switching between chatgpt and googles IA all week lol. You would probably need the whole site. What version of windows do you have? Does it have iis installed? because you can set it up locally with a basic access database. you can then test the mods right away and we can go from there. I can email it to you in a zip file or upload it to the server for you to download Let me know

Im ph only. But sent gpt a screenshot of your reply.
Its answer Yes. If he sends you the whole site as a ZIP, that's actually much better than individual snippets. You could upload the ZIP here and I can unpack it and trace how the pieces interact: ASP includes, HTML generation, CSS, JavaScript, mobile-view logic, functions_format_post.asp, Quick Reply, quote handling, YouTube embedding, etc. That avoids the problem of analysing one file while the actual cause lives in an included file. His idea of running it locally is also sound. Web Wiz is Classic ASP, so a local Windows IIS setup can run the site; Web Wiz's own installation docs describe extracting the complete directory while retaining its structure, and Microsoft documents running Classic ASP sites locally through IIS. webwiz.net +1 But you don't need to set up IIS yourself just for me to analyse it. Send me the ZIP first. I can do static analysis of the entire codebase and map where those ten bugs are likely coming from. If we reach something that genuinely requires executing the ASP application, then local IIS becomes useful. One important thing before he gives you the ZIP: tell him to remove/blank database passwords, admin credentials, SMTP passwords/API keys, and other secrets. Web Wiz stores database-connection information in its database/configuration area, so a complete site archive could contain credentials. forums.webwiz.net And I wouldn't start rewriting it wholesale. I'd first identify what version/generation it actually is, what's been customised, and which of the problems already have fixes in later Web Wiz releases. That could save a hell of a lot of unnecessary work. So if you email it ill try that

Ive just hit up to not rewrite it but identify the issues and put the corrections so you can look at them and decide yourself. Its fine with that and thinks that would work better for testing as you could do one bit at a time and check it. Ill send email address

if i send you the file it will be the original. not the one that is sitting on the beta site. it will be completely blank with the default user and admin which came with the site. I have already fixed a whole bunch of stuff and added a bunch more. oh and tell gpt that it doesnt store that information in forums.webwiz.net it is in the database_settings file :) I wouldnt rely on AI that much. its fantastic for generating code, but i have had to call it up many many times when it trys to fix something, gives you the code to put in and then you have to call it out because he forgets the last message and gives you code that conflicts with the site...like forgets to put a "end if" or puts two "if" commands in then or leaves out %> it will generate it again and it normally takes 3 or 4 goes before the AI gets it right. so im not holding my breath. but its worth a go the version is 12.07
